We started a new series of English tutorials as part of the Career Development Program – open to our ALS students, as well as high school and college sponsored students. Many of us were understandably nervous as it was our first English session together, but Ann and Ram did their best to help everyone relax and have fun, even proposing the idea that learning grammar can be like finding a good chicken adobo recipe. (Grammar/the recipe helps us understand how the language/meal is structured/made – taking away the fear of the unknown.
